Using Our Web Site Main Collections of: Other Collections Include: The Joint Archives, a department of Hope College, is the consolidation
of the archival collections of Hope College, Holland Historical Trust
(Holland Museum), Western Theological Seminary, and other organizations
that contract for archival services. USING THE AUTOMATED COLLECTION GUIDE What follows are instructions to ease access to the materials. All archival
materials must be used in the reading room and are accessed by working with
one of the Archives reference staff. GUIDE TO THE COLLECTIONS The computer version of the guide will allow you to search for names, words, or subjects which are contained in the descriptions of materials held at the Joint Archives. The Guide is divided into three sections. Numbers beginning with an "H" (H88-1000) are from the Hope College Collection, those with a "T" (T88-1000) are in the Holland Historical Trust Collection (Holland Museum) and those with a "W" (W88-1000) are from the Western Seminary Collection. Similar letter designations are used in the other portions of the automated system. If a hot link connect exists in the abstract it will take you to a detailed register (inventory) of the collection to the folder level, history/biography, and scope and content note describing the collection strengths, weaknesses, and organization. When searching note the collection name and number in order
to help the Archive's staff locate materials you need. This listing is a consolidation of the photographs contained within the Hope College, Holland Historical Trust (Holland Museum), and Western Theological Seminary collections. Over 200,000 images are included. Note the number at the end of each entry for access. These files generally include news clippings, news releases, resumes, and the like. The Holland Museum Collection also has information on local Holland churches. Note suffix (in parenthesis) for access.
